Parent Workshop- Brain Architecture Game.

Wednesday 19th March 1:45-3pm

We are really please to be able to offer another session for the Brain Architecture game.

All across Fleetwood, there is amazing work going on to support the development of our young people’s brains. Science tells us that the experiences we have in the first years of our lives actually affect the physical architecture of the developing brain. This means our brains are not just born, they are built over time based on our experiences. Our brains begin to develop just after conception and continue until we are around 24 years of age. The foundations we build during this time support us as we get older. If the foundations are not as solid as we would like we can change this by introducing supports. This can happen at any time in our lives but it easier to do when brains are younger, preferably between the ages of 0 and 5 years old.

Feedback from those who have already attended has been really positive and it is a great opportunity to learn more about neurodiversity and the brain!

A link has been sent out to book a place via the Teacher to Parent app but feel free to turn up on the day!

Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us this afternoon for our first Brain Story event. We focussed on the metaphor Serve and Return and played the Brain Architecture Game. This was a great opportunity to learn about building strong brains and there will be more workshops in the future.

If you were unable to attend today, please keep an eye out for our next session. This will be sent out via the teachers 2 parents app.
