Thank you to the PTFA, all our staff and the children for a fantastic Winter Disco!
3/4SG have enjoyed exploring the dip dying technique and have begun creating some excellent artwork.
As part of 3/4’s DT topic this half term, please will all parents bring in any used and cleaned food packages they may have? Ideally, different sized boxes such as pizza boxes, cereal boxes, jars with the labels still on and empty juice containers. Please can all packages be washed/rinsed before being brought into school.
Year 1 have been learning about ways to record the weather in Fleetwood. They have been using weather instruments to record the different aspects of the weather including, temperature, rain fall, wind direction and cloud cover. They have then used this information to write their own weather diaries and act out giving a weather forecast for the UK weather.
Here are some of our finished working hands that we started last week in Science Club.
We were also challenged to walk through a page. Check out the instruction page and have a go at home!
Thank you to everyone who attended our workshop yesterday.

Well done to our maths team who took part in the Fleetwood High Primary Maths Challenge yesterday evening.
We were faced with a challenge today in science as part of our topic on the properties of materials. We were given a tray of different materials including sand, split pins, rice, grit and marbles. We had to use our knowledge of materials to separate the materials using the equipment that was given to us. We were not allowed to use our hands!
Fabulous work in reception using the story The Stickman.
Our challenge today in science club was to make a ‘robo-hand’ using cardboard, elastic bands and string. When they are finished we should be able to move the hand by pulling a string. Creepy!
Why not have a go at home and make your own moving hand – lots of patience is needed but the results are amazing!
Thank you to Scott and Alex who came in today to talk to us about Stanger Danger and staying safe when out and about.

If you have any dressing up clothes, scooters or doll prams that your children no longer use, we are looking to add them to our resources for the children to use over lunchtime. Please can they be dropped off at the office. Thank you
Today in geography, 5/6I have been understanding that our food comes from various and diverse places around the world. We have explored ‘Fair Trade’ food and whether food is natural or processed. We then wrote arguments for and against ‘home-grown’ and ‘imported’ food. It was a very interesting lesson.
